Philosophy
The B&W Piano Studio customizes its lessons to meet student’s musical goal, responding to the needs of parents and students in offering high quality musical training at the competitive rates.
The B&W Piano Studio's mission is to provide professional instruction with much enthusiasm and dedication. Students are encouraged and empowered to improve musical skill which will eventually help them to enjoy music for the rest of their life. Each lesson has a purpose to nurture and enhance musical ideas and concepts.
Lesson Policy
Student attendance and lesson make-ups:

Consistent attendance is expected to all students.

24 hour advance notice with valid reason, such as illness, family emergency, religious holiday, must be communicated by parents to the lesson instructor in order to receive a make-up for a private lesson.

Refunds will not be issued for student's absence.

In the special absence or cancellations by instructor, due to inclement weather or illness, make-up lessons will be provided.

No show up if the student does not show for their lesson without calling to cancel prior to start of the scheduled appointment, we cannot offer a make-up lesson.

Students should arrive on the right time. Please bring all lesson materials including notebook, textbook, and pencil etc. If student doesn’t come on the appointed time, teacher will not provide the missing minute because of the next appointed student. Please make sure to come on the appointment time.

Make-ups lesson can be only provided if parents notify to the instructor at least 24 hours in advance. Parents can choose their available date and time within 30 days for the make-up lessons.
Studio / Registration Fee
This fee does not associate with the tuition. This fee applies for the cost of piano tune, concert hall reservation and maintenance of studio. This is helpful to keep the student’s opportunity to have a concert or recital annually. The B&W studio charges $ 50 once when the student enrolls in the first time.
Payment
The payment due date is the first lesson date of every month. Parents can pay same amount of tuition in every month even if five weeks to a month. However, Parents are required to pay the tuition consistently without delay. Parents can pay with cash or check. The B& W does not accept the credit card.
A late fee of $ 10.00 will be charged to your account if payment is made later than two weeks of agreed dated outlined on the registration form.

30 min (beginner only) $ 160
45 min (early intermediate) $ 240
60 min (intermediate –advance) $ 320
*Please expect tuition might increase slightly due to the rising costs of oils, fuel and rent fee in every year.
*Bounced Check Fee : $25
Additional fee
Parents should buy or order student’s textbook for themselves from the local music store or internet. Instructor may ask parents to buy educational tools like worksheet, flashcards etc.
Home-lesson
Teacher travels only within 10 miles if parents pay for the traveling fee. The traveling fee is calculated differently where the student’s house is located. Please ask more details to the instructor.
Referral Bonus
Your account will be added $10.00 if you can refer new student successfully.
Evaluations
Each student will be evaluated by the certified teacher (HMTA) once or twice a year. Or it can be evaluated by the instructor when it is needed.
Performance Opportunities
This is a valuable moment of your child to share his or her gift with community. Also the student can learn most important lesson through the stage any other private lessons. If the instructor decided to give opportunities to your child, please take this advantage of this chance and make your valuable experience with rich harvest.
